Time is Weird

Well here's a stinker, I've had so much free time on my hands I decided to think about my own mortality; life and death. You know, that depressing stuff. With all the time reflecting on these issues I came across a few things worth discussing. Here it comes!

Existence is not easily questionable. Yet we seem to believe that we must seek the purpose of life, of any form of existence. Years of philosophy, war, belief, enlightenment, and drudgery have not brought us these answers, still many have established different views, some even claiming they know the answer. But we are no closer than we was when the question was first asked; Why was life created, and what is its purpose?

I say that this question is no longer valid. Light is being shed on how life came into existence, and the functionality of life through the miracles of science. As for our purpose, I believe we have no purpose. Our lives are simply for our own pleasure. We are free to do as we wish, seek out what we want, and create the illusion that what we do is for a reason. There may be legitimate reasons for the things that we do, but its based on the belief that these reasons matter to others, an illusion created in your mind to fulfil what you believe is the purpose for your existence but is for your own pleasure.

There is still a purpose for us to question life, but stick to the details, our minds do not have the capacity at this time to understand the grand scheme of things, we just need to learn to deal with that. Just keep that in mind.
